Henning named Coordinator of Creative Writing at SFASU

(sarahenningpoet.com) Sara Henning was recently named the Coordinator of Creative Writing at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas.

The position is effective starting in the 2021-22 school year. As coordinator, Henning will guide the entire Creative Writing program for SFA’s Department of English and Creative Writing. The program boasts the only Bachelor of Fine Arts degree for Creative Writing in Texas, and one of only 30 such programs in the United States. The degree includes specializations for poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction, with students producing book-length thesis projects in any of these genres.

Sara has taught at Stephen F. Austin State University since 2016. She is also the Poetry Editor for Stephen F. Austin State University Press.
