Terra Incognita wins the Hollis Summers Poetry Prize

(sarahenningpoet.com) Sara Henning’s new collection of poems, Terra Incognita, was recently selected by Rebecca Morgan Frank as the winner of the 2021 Hollis Summers Poetry Prize from Ohio University Press.

The award is named for distinguished poet Hollis Summers, who was a longtime teacher at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. As this year’s winner, Henning will have her collection published by Ohio University Press.

Previous winners of the Hollis Summers Poetry Prize include Joseph Capista (Intrusive Beauty, 2019), Nick Norwood (Gravel & Hawk, 2012), and Kwame Dawes (The Watchers, 1998).

Terra Incognita is set for release in March 2022.
